April Sketchbook

Hi angels!

I hope you are all doing well and staying safe! Is it week 5 or 6 of isolation now?! I have no clue, it's just felt like an age to me. I hope you are all keeping yourselves out of trouble and doing lovely things.

I am still sketching when the mood hits.. I am chuffed with what  I've been doing. I did try doing a challenge every day, but instead I just pick up a pencil when I like. I don't want to force myself to do anything I'm not feeling.

You guys should have this mindset too. Honestly, it's okay to not want to do something, to leave it for the morning. I think you're doing great no matter what! Take care of yourselves.

Without further ado, here are the sketches I did across April.

This one is shocking but I had a good go! I think I should have chosen a better reference!

I mean, it's all progress, ey! Let's see how May goes.
Enjoy your weeks fairies, stay safe.

Moon Journal - New Moon in Taurus

Hallo angels,

I hope you are all well and feeling that gorgeous sunshine.

I sat down last night and meditated with my New Moon intentions. From my meditation I visualised and journaled what I want to bring (or continue to bring) into my life during this next moon phase.

To journal my thoughts, I use Nikki Strange's Luna Diary which gives me lovely prompts throughout the month for each phase of the moon cycle.

For each New and Full Moon the journal has note pages for intention and reflection.

I will continue my creative flow by sketching, amending and journalling.

I have found joy by organising my time to reflect and grow within my inner self.

I manifest energies towards my new home which will be a huge reward after this lockdown period.

During meditation, I light Nag Champa incense.

To relax, I use Spotify for meditative and sleep playlists.

Last night, before I sat down to meditate, I laid out all of my crystals and closed my eyes. I jumbled the crystals about and then held my hands over feeling the energy. I gravitated toward 4 crystals:

To ground I reached for Black Tourmaline.

For mental clarity and protection I have Golden Tiger's eye.

To balance my energies, Clear Quartz came to me.

Amethyst is a firm favourite of mine, I wasn't surprised that I was gravitated towards this crystal for it's soothing powers.

I meditated with my Yoga teacher who asked us to visualise a gold light. This was so powerful to me and I sent out the light to those I love most.

Intention:
I intend to continue with my creativity and inner growth during this time of uncertainty. Rewards are sure to come when the time is right.

Mantra:
The light in me shines bright and strong.

Let me know your intentions for this month if you like and we can share our thoughts.

Stay safe and well!

Home Inspo: Living Room

Hi fairy creatures, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the sunshine this week!

I am living on Pinterest at the moment - so much home inso for me I can't handle it. I thought I would share my thoughts for each room with you guys (and you can share ideas with me too!)

I'm looking online as much as possible for inspiration for my new home, from nifty space saving ideas to colour schemes. So much inspiration that I need to focus slightly on what I know I want in each space of the house.

The room I focus on most is the living room. I just know our space is going to be so cosy and chilled. Luckily for us, the whole house doesn't need any structural changes - only cosmetic to our taste which is fab as it means we can move straight in!

The living room is currently a pretty pale blue, we have decided that we want to change the colour to greens and yellows. To have a jungle, outdoors-y vibe. My fave colour for this room is olive green, broken up with yellows and brown for decor etc. My other half has plenty of plants to put in the room, to bring the outdoors inside. I also want to decorate with wooden shelving and gold/bronze decor.

I want the room to be cosy and safe without being cluttered! We'l soon see how that goes as life goes by. Any space saving tips - please let me know! (Though I have a board of nifty ideas to help with inspiration.)

I thought I'd do a rough sketch of the room for you and then you can peek at Pinterest to see more ideas.

2020 Booklist

Hi angels..

I hope you're safe and well! I am struggling but ticking along with the gorgeous sunshine and support of those around me. (As well as Easter choccies to get me through!)

I have this week off work so I'm going to do lots more self-care, have fun family time and take a breather for my mental health.

Let me know how you're doing too, I'd love to know what you're up to and how you're spending your time.

I have so many books that I keep buying and neglecting - it's my aim this year to get through a small handful of them and enjoy reading and learning.

I have four books on my list and they are as follows:

A Little Bit of Auras
By Cassandra Eason
This introductory book was given as a gift at Christmas, (thanks Santa!). It was super thoughtful as auras interest me a lot and I can't wait to learn more. I know we all have auras which reflect our feelings. I want to learn more about using auras to spread more positivity and diminish negative energies. Especially during this time of uncertainty and lack of control. I will be making notes from this book for my new home to ensure the space is cleansed and peaceful.
I will so a post once I have read this book to let you know what I have learnt and how I will bring my learnings into daily life.

The House Witch.
By Arinn Murphy-Hiscock
I took a while to read this book I'm not going to lie. It was high useful for me in anticipation of moving into a new home and making sure the energy was right for me when I arrived. This book is to inspire and prepare me for the creation of my partners and I's spiritual space. For love and tranquility in the home.
It's super interesting to learn the history of culture and spirituality around the world. There was so much to  learn and take on within the book that I wrote notes and underlined things I thought would be super useful to me.
I will 100% be going over the notes I made once our house completion date is secured.

The Invisible Man
By H G Wells
I bought this book when the film came out a couple of months ago in the cinema. When film adaptations come out, I like the idea of reading the book before watching a film due to the initial creativity and descriptions. Like Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train, which are two of my favourite books that turned into adaptations. Both were equally amazing books that had me hooked! The films didn't disappoint either.
Babbling over... I went to see The Invisible Man waaaay back before iso. I saw the film before getting a chance to read the book. The film had some fab parts but for me it wasn't the best as I expected a different storyline.
I'm super interested to read the book, it seems it has a different storyline which I am excited to get into. H G Wells is highly influential in the book world, so I am excited to get into his novel.
I will keep you guys in the loop after I read this book, I am intrigued to see what I think in comparison with the film.
(Note: This review of the book may take a hot second as I am currently reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine - this was on my 2019 booklist, which obviously went really well lol)

Everything is Figure-outable.

By Marie Forleo
This was another gift to me, which was again super kind. This book is perfect for those wanting to make a positive change. No matter what it is that you want to change, sometimes that can be super hard. Marie helps us to make the changes without being too hard on ourselves and using our own belief.
This is perfect for me! I am forever making dreams that can come true with no clue how to begin. I'll share what I learn with you guys so we can all achieve and believe.

Let me know what you thought of these books if you've read them without giving me spoilers. I'd love to know your thoughts.

Take care of yourselves guys and stay safe.

George

Pink Super Moon - Reflections

Now then, I hope you are all safe and well.

I am back again, twice in one week you lucky angels!

I hope you all rested well last night and managed to charge both yourselves and crystals within the light of the beautiful Pink Super Moon.

I use Nikki Strange's Luna Diary as my planner which gives e lovely prompts throughout the month for each phase of the moon cycle.

This Full Moon I reflect well on the strength of my relationships with loved ones. During this difficult time everyone has come together and it shows how strong my relationships are with those around me. I am so so so grateful.

Each New and Full Moon the journals note pages for reflection and gratitude.

I am grateful for my own strength.
accept that every day is not easy and this too shall pass.

I am listening to meditative music to calm, relax and inspire my work.
I am grateful for the sunshine, spring and all the smells that come with the bloom.

I reach for Fluorite to balance my emotional well-being and my concentration.

I look to Amethyst for clearing my aura and encouraging peace in my daily activities.

I am grateful for Rose Quartz for enhancing my creativity and soothing my heart in these difficult times.

For my development in my art I am looking at nature and animals. I look to nature that is around me: cats, birds, etc. Though I take images from the web, I use the inspiration from my window and what I see outside.

Reflections:
We are healthy and safe.
People are so supportive of me, whether old friends or new.
I can make it through difficult times, I will be positive in my thoughts.

Mantra:
I am healthy, I am loved.

How have you reflected in this Full Super Moon? I'd love to know.

Stay safe and well!

Blog Goals

Hi everyone,

I hope you're safe and well!

As I seem to keep banging on about, I want to increase my blogging motivation. At the moment, my motivation is mad! I have so much in me that I want to share and do I could explode! In any free time, I'm writing blog notes, sketching, and coming up with ideas that I  want to share with you.

I want to have this space to share content that I'm actually interested in. I want to know that if I saw one of my posts on Bloglovin', I'd stop and take a look. I want my blog to be like the good old days, lots of care but not 100% as professional as we would all like. I mean I am no photography professional. I want to keep everything so relaxed and fun.

I have only made 3 main blog goals, for the foreseeable future. Nothing extreme, they are super manageable as well, so not to overwhelm me. I think this is the best way for me to keep enjoying what I love to do.

Goals:

(1) Post on GeorgeFeas at least once every two weeks, or a couple more if the creative juices flow!

(2) Post content that I'm chuffed with and would actually be interested in reading. Get inspiration from those I follow and content excites me.

(3) To keep telling myself that it is not the end of the world if I don't do something I planned. Like a blog post or sketch. Chill out man, and you what you do!

Honestly, I know these goals are a given to some of you, but actually, it's nice to write them down and look at often. To keep your head screwed on and keep doing what you enjoy.

Let's see how well this goes, ey!

Stay safe guys and speak soon,

George

April Bullet Journal

Hi guys and dolls,

I hope you're all super well and coping in this time of isolation. I'm doing my best to make a positive out of this negative. Time at home, when I'm not working, has given me the motivation to blog again. I'm honestly so inspired at the moment and want to share a millions and one things with you.

I even set time aside to prep my bullet journal for April. I mean, if you saw my February set up you'd understand this achievement! I'm going back to m favourite planner days and using stickers again which I love. They make a spread pop without much time and energy put in which is great!

(If I had the patience to draw all the boxes out like others do, I 100% would. But I have zero attention span for draw many boxes.. I'll leave that to the experts!)

As you should have seen by my last post, I am starting to draw and be arty again. I thought I would input this into my April bujo spread. I am chuffed with the result but I know there is still plenty to practise and improve on. I didn't throw this away despite the mistakes. I thought I would draw something similar in a few months and see the improvement.

I used watercolour as a base and then some colour pencils. Nothing I used was dead fancy. Just what I've had in my cupboards for a long while.

My journal is the Leuchtturm 1917 and I LOVE it.

I drew a Robin and Blue Tit as I'm seeing so many in the garden now.

The stickers I used are from various shops - I will like them in my Instagram post for you all if you're interested!

I kept to a pink and blue colour scheme - it's a bit jumbled but it's clear enough for my notes that I will make next month.

I hope you're enjoying the posts so far. Stay safe and sound everyone!
